Yes, me too! I find this image, which is rather new to me, to be such a warm and inviting representation of the fullness of Mary's motherhood as well as Jesus' humanity.
Probably one of my favorite images is that which my parish has. It is a statue of Christ being held by his mother. And one day I was praying and was really looking at the statue. I noticed that Christ is pointing at his mother as well as up to Haven and his father even while his mother is pointing us toward him. I was surprised that I even noticed this since usually I sit on St. Josephs side of the church.
I do so love the picture of that wee Jesus at his mother's feet! God so human. Thank you!! Cathy
